Microservice Logs
Debugging distributed applications can be tricky. Fortunately, potctl makes it easy to find out what each of our microservices are doing.
Streaming logs: Agent and microservice logs can also be streamed via WebSocket (exec-style session), so you can tail logs in real time without polling. This is supported in ECN-Viewer (browser-based terminal and log views) and in potctl (e.g. when using log or exec-style commands). The same WebSocket channel is used for interactive exec sessions and log streaming.
With the logs command, we can use potctl to inspect the output of each microservice's container:
potctl logs microservice AppName/NAME
If we have issues getting logs, its a good idea to check the status of the respective microservice:
potctl get microservices
